Should I buy a Fiat Regata

I have stumbled upon a 1987 Fiat Regata, one owner since new, with 6000-miles on the clock. Is it worth making an offer, or are these not deemed classics yet?

It's not quite the only one. According to www.howmanyleft.co.uk there are only 15 remaining licensed for road use in the UK and I very much doubt any with such low mileage. So if it checks out OK might be worth grabbing.
