What can I maintain in my Allegro?

I decided to get an Allegro as a cheap entry to classic cars and it'd be nice to maintain it myself for the sake of pride as well as saving money.

I know they're relatively simple but I'm not exactly a super mechanic - so what kind of work do you think a novice can carry out with a half decent tool kit?

Anything from re-gapping your sparkplugs to changing the cylinder head. The only bit you'll need specialist tools for will be the Hydragas suspension - and there are still plenty of garages out there that will pump it up for you for £25...
