If I buy this low mileage Mini Cooper Sports will it suffer from depreciation?

In a local BMW/MINI showroom is an X-reg Mini Cooper Sports (as per badge on the boot). It is apparently one of the last original Minis to come off the production line. It has only done 26 miles from new (yes 26). It is not for sale as such.

As a 70-year-old I have owned many Minis in my time so I asked a salesperson about the car. Someone at the dealership bought the car from the widow of the previous owner. I asked if I wanted to buy it what would be the likely asking price. The response was that they did not really want to sell it but if they did it would need to be around £20,000. Even in these circumstances do you think this is silly money, and if the mileage was to increase by say 1,500 miles per annum would the car at retain such a value?

The car will only retain a value like this if it is kept as a museum piece and not used because that is what makes it unique.
