I have a 1994L Jaguar 4.O S, which is basically an XJ6 4.0 litre. Everything works and it does about 30mpg on a run. I was told by a Jaguar garage where I was having it serviced that it is one of only 49 ever built. They told me that when Ford bought Jaguar it used up all the bits they had left to make 100 special cars, 51 x 3.2 litres and 49 x 4.0 litres. Is there any truth in this? Is it worth paying £400 to put it through the MOT and sell it, or sell as is? And where would be best for me to sell? I have no space or use for it but would hate to scrap a future classic.
