Iberian persister

I have my 1965 Triumph Spitfire Mk2 advertised on a classic car website. I have been inundated with emails and phone calls by a chap in Spain desperate to buy my car, first of all unseen apart from a few pictures on the advert. I said that I was rather surprised at this and that although the car has had a lot of work done over about an eight-year period it is still 45years old. He now proposes having a British 'expert' examine the car on his behalf and report back. If the report is satisfactory he will then send a truck from Spain, giving the truck driver the cash! As someone once said 'if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is'. It is possible, of course, that the guy is genuine. I would welcome your thoughts and advice.

If it's cash, Moneygram or payment by Western Union, no problem.
As long as, if it's cash, the notes aren't freshly printed. Be very wary
of €500 Euro notes. Even Barclay's Bank in the UK will not exchange them because so many are dodgy. If it's any other form of payment: bank draft, credit transfer, etc., big problem. See: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/accepting-payments
