Is a Ford Cougar a good investment for £1200? It has 45,000 miles.

£1200 doesn't sound horrific for one with that kind of mileage - although a grand would probably be better. Depends entirely on what the history is like - if it's been garaged, had one loving owner, main dealer servicing, wanted for nothing then it's not a bad price. There's a 'timewarp' example on eBay with 145k at a dealer for £1600. Whether it'll actually sell for that is anyone's guess.
