I want a 2002 Jaguar S-Type, is there anything I should look out for?

I'm looking at 2002 Jaguar S-Type 2.5. Is there anything I should look out for? It's done 140,000 miles, and I only average 5000 miles a year.

These cars can suffer from numerous electrical problems so make sure everything works. Also, check the boot seals as these perish and cause water to leak into the luggage compartment. Try to speak to a few owners - many of them complain about the car's lack of reliability and an unhelpful dealer network. If you change your mind and go for a V8, remember that pre-2000 engines can suffer from cylinder bore wear - this was the subject of a recall and most cars should have been sorted by now.
