Mk1 Honda Civic heads to auction
A low-mileage Mk1 Honda Civic is heading to auction. The model, a 1978-registered 1.3L, goes under the hammer at Classic Car Auctions’ sale on 10 June.
With just 8600 miles on the clock and one registered owner, the Elysee Bronze Civic has been well cared. In fact, it still has the protective plastic coverings on the door cards.
The tan interior is unmarked and the car was recently brought out of long-term storage, recommissioned, and put through its MoT test.
The Japanese hatchback is thought to be one of only three Civic 125 manuals left in the UK. It was bought by its current owner from Hill & Amos in Harrogate.
‘This little Civic is spotless and comes with an extensive history file,’ says consignor Nigel Gough, classic car specialist, Classic Car Auctions. ‘It’s quirky and rare and a perfect example of a super little seventies Japanese hatchback.’
The Civic is expected to sell for between £5000 and £7000. For more information on the car or the sale, which is held at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre, visit www.classiccarauctions.co.uk,
