Silverstone Auctions to host its first international sale

Around 100 classic cars will go under the hammer over two days in a new auction at a motorsport festival in Denmark in May.

The sale at the Classic Race Aarhus will take place on 28-29 May and be hosted by Silverstone Auctions and Lauritz.com, Scandinavia’s largest online auctioneer.

Classic Race Aarhus is an award-winning motorsport festival attended by more than 35,000 people each year, with proceeds from the event supporting road safety projects in Denmark.

Commenting on the announcement of its first international sale, Nick Whale, managing director of Silverstone Auctions, said, ‘We’re delighted to be hosting an auction at this prestigious classic car and motorsport event in partnership with both Lauritz.com and Classic Race Aarhus.

‘Over the past five years Silverstone Auctions has achieved impressive results on behalf of our vendors, hosting auctions at some of the UK’s biggest and most high-profile classic car events.’
