Industrial action

20 June 1969

DAILY EXPRESS

Rover: Striking storekeepers and internal transport men at Cardiff decided yesterday to continue their action which has already halted production of the Rover 2000 and made idle 3,600 day and night shift workers in South Wales and Solihull. The Cardiff men will not a meet again until next week.

Standard Triumph and Rootes: A strike by car delivery drivers in Coventry can mean "extreme difficulties", said a Standard official. But they, like Rover's are keeping an eye on the Lucas strike.

"The situation is causing concern. It could probably stop us." said the official.
