10-Year Run For BMC 1100 Models

The British Motor Corporation's 1100 models are in for a production run of at least 10 years. Mr. George Harriman, B.M.C. chairman, announced in Birmingham yesterday.

This, he said, would give the additional advantage that the customer's investment was not swept away by a new version coming out within a year or so of his purchase.

In the year since the introduction of the 1100 model. production of Morris and M.G. 1100s had passed the 110,000 mark and was running at 4,000 a week. Of these, 44 Per cent were being exported. Demand still greatly exceeded supply, but by November they would be producing 6,000 a week in their different versions.
