MORRIS MEN GO BACK

Work returned to normal yesterday at Morris Motors factory at Cowley, Oxford , following Tuesday afternoon's stoppage on all production lines, with the exception of the Mini-Minor lines. The management had suspended two men for three days for bad workmanship. A spokesman for the management said yesterday that it was very concerned about this sort of attitude adopted by the unions. Hitherto it had had complete agreement that anyone doing bad work should be reprimanded and disciplinary action taken. It was obviously in the interest of all employees that cars should be of the highest possible quality.
