VEHICLE BUILDERS TO END STRIKE

BIRMINGHAM, SEPT. 23

The 1,000 vehicle builders at the British Motor Corporation's Nuffield Metal Products factory who have been on unofficial strike for nine days decided at a mass meeting today to resume work on Monday.

The men were told by the area organizer of the National Union of Vehicle Builders, Mr George Evans, that their claim for increased waiting time pay would be discussed at a local conference next week and if agreement could not be reached the claim would go to a central conference at York next month.
