Can the Mitsubishi ASX's stop-start system be switched off?

I read your report on the Mitsubishi ASX. Can the stop-start system be switched off? I think it would be very frustrating in a stop and start situation, on a motorway for example.

I don't know. I didn't ask. Driving the new SEAT Alhambra DSG on Tuesday I found that stop-start only stopped the engine if you left it in gear and kept your foot on the brake. If you put it in N and used the parking brake, the engine would continue running.
