Selling a diesel

I currently drive a BMW 330d E90 LCI model. It's done 86k and am now beginning to wonder how long the DPF will hold up. It's run exclusively on Shell V Nitro and serviced every 10k (oil, air filters etc). I've only had it 15 months but it's had a new water pump, new egr and new inlet manifold as well as glow plugs and glow plug controller unit. Would it be wise to hold on to it for a little while longer or should I sell it and get a petrol? I currently do about 12-14k miles per year

Even though it has the six cylinder engine, not the N47 4 cylinder, it can still have a timing chain problem and there are three of them on this engine. So, first thing to do is get that checked. If the DPF fills up with ash, you can get it cleaned out by the Ceramax process.
