Is it true that the Honda CR-V SE is not being supplied in large numbers?

I am struggling to find secondhand Honda CR-V SE version - one dealer has told me that not many have been sold due to the ES version being better equipped for not much more money. Is that a true statement, or a way to get me to buy an ES version that he has in stock? Also, what are your thoughts on buying the diesel or petrol version secondhand?

It probably is true. Try a search on Autotrader to verify it.
