Buying a second hand compact car
I'm looking to buy a second hand compact executive car (or open to other suggestions). My budget is £15-18k, annual mileage 25-30k (mainly motorway), I have a wife and 2 teenage kids, and I want it to do everything (comfortable, practical, fun to drive, luxurious, decent sized boot). What would you recommend?

Your mileage suggests diesel and the most economical mid size compact car currently seems to be the Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC. which is also pretty decent to drive: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/honda/honda-civic-.../
