Buying a car for high mileage

I have a job which requires 30,000 miles of driving per year. I have £11,000 to spend and have no family, so am considering the Honda CR-Z - with the hope that the hybrid would allow a reasonable return on mpg – or the Ford Focus. What do you suggest?

The Honda CR-Z is not very economical. See the test at: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/honda/honda-cr-z-2.../

In my hands a 2006-2012 Honda Civic 1.8i did 45mpg, and the 2013 model did 48mpg, which is excellent for a 1.8 petrol engine. But I think you should be looking at a KIA Rio 1.1CRDI.
