Suspension noises - is it a 'characteristic' of the Volkswagen Golf GTi?

I have purchased a brand new Mk7 Golf GTI (Sept 2013). All fine except the suspension creaks and groans at low speed (<20mph) over uneven surfaces, speed bumps etc. Sounds as if the car is 10+ years old with shot shock absorbers! I have been back to the main dealer who have checked all possible causes and compared it with their demonstrator and professed everything to be OK. Is this a symptom of the new suspension set-up? Are all Mark 7s like this? Or is it a 'characteristic' of the GTi? Would appreciate any independent advice you can give.

The GTI has multi-link independent rear suspension. Lower down the range they come with twist beam rear suspension. This is the first criticism of noise, though. I haven't experienced it. And the multilink gives a much better ride quality than the twist beam. If the noises continue, back it on the dealer and tell him to fix it or give you your money back because the fault has been present from new.
