How can I find secondhand car prices for 1946/1947?

My father bought a secondhand 1935 Talbot 75, reg BXY334, in 1946/47 and it was scrapped in 1962. I know it was virtually impossible to buy new cars immediately post-war, and secondhand cars carried a heavy premium. Can you advise where I can possibly find secondhand car prices for the period 1946/47?

The only people who were valuing cars at that time - who are still around today - was Glass's Guide. You can get in touch with them through their website: www.glass.co.uk/contact/index.php
