Buying small car- what would you recommend?
I am about start work as a junior doctor and am looking to buy my own first car. I can spend up to £4000 and I was wondering what you would recommend? I will be driving short distances regularly, but also doing the occasional longer journeys.

For that sort of use, for £4,000, a Citroen C1, FIAT Panda, Nissan Pixo, Peugeot 107, Suzuki Alto or Toyota Aygo.
