Crossovers .... can I have some advice?

I am looking to buy a four-wheel drive vehicle and would consider the above. Value for money, economy and reliability. One important point is rear legroom whereas I believe the VW comes with adjustable rear seats. Currently I use an S-MAX diesel, not having had a petrol car for 38 years.

The Freelander has three major faults, so that's off the list. Kugas generally okay. Tiguans not bad but the pre-facelift has quite a hard ride. Q3s built by SEAT at Martorell. Best of the four for status.
