Can you recommend a small crossover for mostly local driving?

I've recently retired and want something smaller than my Mercedes C-Class. I'd like something similar in size to the original Toyota RAV4; a small, raised, 2WD or 4WD. But I do need comfort, in particular the seat. I want petrol (not hybrid or electric) secondhand and I'm now pretty much totally local and unlikely to do more than 1000 miles a year. Any thoughts?

Take a look at a Citroen C3 Aircross. It's a small crossover SUV with a raised seating position and comfortable seats. We'd recommend a Volkswagen T-Cross or Skoda Kamiq, too.
