Sleepy holler

Imagine the quietest village. Imagine a quiet slip road off it. Imagine double parking but not obstruction the lane while you are loading the kids into your car for a day at the beach. (4 minutes tops) Imagine being given a fixed penalty notice for obstructing the highway. Is it worth contesting? Would love your opinion.

Well you were 'obstructing the highway'. It's just another example of the state into which the UK has sunk. So desperate to extract money by vilification any way it can that penalty culture has taken over all normal consideration and humanity and made it one of the nastiest countries in the world in which to live.
