Moisture riser
Our friend is having problems with condensation within her 2004 Skoda Fabia Classic. When she parks and leaves the car, after a run, on her return she finds the windows have 'steamed' up. Have you heard of this problem on this model or can you suggest any reason
for this annoying situation?

It's usually because of the way VAG builds its doors. These have a plastic membrane between the inner doorframes and the trims. This cracks with age and the door trims get sodden. Alternatively the car has blocked bulkhead vent well drains, leaving nowhere for rainwater to go except into the car through the pollen filter. In the Fabia and Polo the pollen filter is easily accessible from inside the cabin, front passenger side.
